On the official Campgaw Mountain season-pass page, the adult Unlimited pass for 2026-27 costs $349 at October prices. In March 2026 the same pass cost $299, and a March buyer could also use it for the rest of the 2025-26 season. The lifts haven't run since then, and the price is up $50.
The higher price is only half of what a late buyer gives up. A Campgaw pass also works as a discount card at bagel counters, pizzerias and grills from Franklin Turnpike to MacArthur Boulevard. The 2026-27 discounts started July 1. Every month a household waits, the pass costs more and leaves fewer months to use it in town.
How the Price Has Moved Since Spring
Campgaw posts a single price schedule at a time and labels each one with its month. Archived copies of the page show how the schedule changed between August 2025 and October 2026.
| Pass | Aug 2025 | Nov 2025 | Mar 2026 | Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unlimited | $309 | $359 | $299 | $349 |
| Child Unlimited, ages 3 to 11 | $269 | $319 | $259 | $309 |
| Senior Unlimited, 65+ | $249 | $249 | $249 | $249 |
| Weekend & Holiday | $289 | $319 | not listed | $319 |
| Weekday Non-Holiday | $209 | $239 | not listed | $239 |
| Child Combo, ages 3 to 11 | $309 | $369 | not listed | $359 |
The August and November 2025 columns come from archived copies of the August 2025 and November 2025 pass pages. The March 2026 column is from an archived copy of the March page, and the October 2026 column is from the current season-pass page. In 2025-26, the Child Combo also included an on-site seasonal rental.
Last year, the period between August and November 2025 brought the step. Weekday and weekend passes went up $30 each, Unlimited and Child Unlimited went up $50 each, and the Child Combo went up $60. Prices kept going up after November. By New Year's Eve, The Ridgewood Blog reported that 2025-26 passes were still on sale and that an adult Unlimited cost $389. That figure is $30 above the November price on Campgaw's own page.
This year's October prices match last November's for the weekday and weekend passes. The Unlimited, Child Unlimited and Child Combo are each $10 below where they were last November. Campgaw's page lists October 2026 prices and no later schedule. The Senior Unlimited is the only line that hasn't moved. It has stayed at $249 in every column from August 2025 through October 2026, so a buyer 65 or older has no price clock to beat.
The Visit Math at 2026-27 Daily Rates
A pass is a bet on how many times you'll go. Campgaw's 2026-27 daily snow pass rates range from $37 for a three-hour weekday window to $69 for a full Saturday, Sunday or holiday. Last season the range was $36 to $65, according to The Ridgewood Blog's year-end report. The biggest increase is at the weekend end, where the top rate rose $4.
Here is how the three adult passes below the senior age line, at October 2026 prices, compare with buying day tickets:
- Unlimited at $349. Five all-day weekend tickets at $69 come to $345. By the sixth full Saturday or Sunday, the pass costs less than buying day tickets.
- Weekend & Holiday at $319. Four all-day weekend tickets cost $276 and five cost $345, so the fifth weekend day is where the pass comes out ahead.
- Weekday Non-Holiday at $239. A full Monday-to-Thursday session runs from 2 to 8 p.m. and costs $43. Five of those cost $215 and six cost $258, so this pass pays off on the sixth weekday visit.
Campgaw's ticket page says a season pass "can pay for itself in just a few visits." At October prices, "a few" works out to five or six visits. In March, a $299 Unlimited would have paid off in five weekend days, with the end of last season included.
The mountain's own perks shorten that count. Every season passholder gets 15% off food and retail at Campgaw. Passholders also get unlimited free tubing on non-holiday Mondays and Tuesdays, subject to availability, and can bring guests tubing on those days for $15 each.
What the Pass Opens Up in Mahwah Before Any Snow Falls
Campgaw's Consociation Program pairs the pass with discounts at nearby businesses. For 2026-27 passholders, the offers run from July 1, 2026, to April 1, 2027, unless a business says otherwise. You show your 2026-27 pass at the counter to get the discount. The program isn't new. Archived pages show it running for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons, and a capture from February 2024 already carries the program's name.
Because of those dates, the discount window opened more than five months before Campgaw's mid-December opening target and stays open past the end of March, when the season is meant to close. A pass bought on July 1 had about nine months of local discounts ahead of it. A pass bought on December 31 has three.
The Mahwah partners on the current list fall along a few familiar roads:
Franklin Turnpike
- Bubbakoo's Burritos, 9 Franklin Turnpike: 15% off your bill
- Edible Arrangements, 15 Franklin Turnpike: 20% off orders of $50 or more, not combinable with other offers
- Bagel Express, 75 Franklin Turnpike: 15% off your purchase
MacArthur Boulevard
- Bam Bagel, 1003 MacArthur Blvd: 10% off any order under $50
- Mahwah Pizza & Pasta, 1035 MacArthur Blvd: 10% off your bill
Elsewhere in town
- Mason Jar, 219 Ramapo Valley Road: 10% off your food order
- Mahwah Bar and Grill, 2 Island Road: 10% off the food bill, alcohol not included
- Esposito's Pizza, 425 Forest Road: 10% off in-house or pick-up dining
- Mom's Kitchen To Go, 5 Miller Road: 10% off your purchase
The list also reaches into nearby towns. In Ramsey, Luna Azul at 38 East Main Street and Lettuce Inn Juice Bar at 30 East Main Street each take 10% off the bill, and Urban Auto Spa on Route 17 offers car wash and detailing discounts. Allendale Bar and Grill on West Allendale Avenue gives 10% off food. Goldfish Swim School in Wyckoff takes $35 off a swim lesson with the code Campgaw27. J-B Pet Supplies on Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland gives 20% off, with a published list of exclusions. Campgaw says some deals are still pending, so the list may grow over the winter.
None of these discounts change the ski math above by themselves. They do mean the pass is already working before opening day, and the October buyer gets most of that window while the December buyer gets the end of it.
When the Lifts Are Likely to Turn
Campgaw doesn't promise an opening date. Its hours page says the season depends on the weather, with a goal of opening in mid-December and staying open through March. OnTheSnow's projected openings list shows December 18 for Campgaw, and the site notes that its projections aren't official. Last season, Campgaw opened on December 16, 2025, and by New Year's Eve all 13 trails were reported open on a base of about 15 inches, The Ridgewood Blog reported.
Bergen County owns the mountain, and Ski Campgaw Management LLC operates it under a lease, according to the county's tourism site and its 2026 directory. For a Mahwah household, the hill is in town. The weekday afternoon sessions that start at 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday are the visits that get the $239 weekday pass to six uses.
Weather is the risk a pass buyer takes on. Under Campgaw's season-pass terms, passes can't be refunded or transferred, and no refunds are given for weather or lack of use. If a medical reason or another accepted reason, such as a deployment, keeps you off the hill, the pass can move to the next season with a doctor's note or other documentation. Read those terms on Campgaw's page before you buy. This post is general information, not legal or financial advice.
At the October 2026 prices posted on Campgaw's page, a Mahwah household weighing an Unlimited pass is looking at $349. That price breaks even on the sixth full weekend day, and it comes with discounts at nine Mahwah businesses that will keep honoring the pass until April 1, 2027.
At Michael Properties, we follow these smaller local price cycles because they add up to what a winter in Mahwah actually costs, and Campgaw is one of the clearest examples. If you're weighing what your own Mahwah home is worth as the seasons change, request a home valuation and we'll walk you through it with the same level of detail.
